Saudi Arabia has significantly improved its position in the 2025 Geospatial Knowledge Infrastructure Readiness Index, rising to ninth place from 32nd in 2022, and ranking first in the Middle East and sixth among G20 nations. This advancement reflects the Kingdom's commitment to enhancing its geospatial infrastructure, driven by strong leadership support and strategic initiatives, including the development of the National Geospatial Platform. Additionally, Riyadh has been designated as the home of the UN Global Geospatial Ecosystem Center of Excellence, further solidifying its status as a leader in geospatial information management.
